The snow has arrived for the season. Our trails got between 20 to 30 inches of heavy wet snow. At this time we are not grooming but trying to open and pack the trails. We are experiencing a lot of downed trees and brush that is ladened with heavy snow. If you are venturing out on the trails please be aware of these hazards. We would also appreciate any help on the trails either by packing with your snowmobile or bringing your chainsaw along to clear the downed brush or trees. We groom approximately 65 miles of trails and it will take awhile to get them packed and groomed, so we hope you will be patient with our volunteer operators. Also be cautious of the swampy areas as the ground is still not frozen. The area lakes are especially dangerous at this time since we had minimal cold weather before the storm. This resulted in in-adequate ice to support the heavy snow along with slush on top of the ice. Please be careful if you venture on to Twin Lakes behind Silver Bay. Thanks for your support.
